A Talk by Alexandra Shriane (Appleton Institute, CQUniversity)

About this Talk

Up to 20% of our workforce are shiftworkers - people working outside standard business hours. Being a shiftworker elevates your risk of developing a wide range of health and wellbeing problems, and can also increase your chances of having an accident, making an error, or sustaining an injury at work. The key to many of these problems is the way that shiftwork impacts your sleep. The good news is that there are science-backed strategies to improve your sleep and reduce many of these risks. In this session, you'll learn the science behind how shiftwork impacts sleep, and discover the everyday strategies that can help.
